About
The awkward part, first
There is a whole industry selling emotional support animal registrations to Canadians, and too much of it works the same way. It implies official status that does not exist, bills again every twelve months for a database row, or hides the one sentence you most need to read somewhere near the bottom of a page nobody opens.
We wanted to make the nice version of the object, a proper certificate, a card that fits in a wallet, a number you can check, without any of that. So the awkward sentence is on the homepage instead of the small print, the price is paid once, and a refund turns the registration off rather than quietly leaving it live.
The other thing we kept having to say to people is that a certificate will not get a landlord to say yes. What does is the tenancy law of your province, which in some places is on your side more than you would think and in others is not, and we explain it for free.
We do not sell medical letters, and we never will. Where a letter matters, in a request to a landlord to accommodate a disability, it needs to come from a health professional who actually treats you, not from a website that sells them. We also ask you nothing about your health, because it is genuinely none of our business.
What we hold ourselves to
The law is the law. We are not.
This record creates no rights, and we say so on the homepage, on the certificate and beside the price. What decides whether you can keep a pet in a rental is your province’s tenancy law, and we link to it on the same pages where we are selling to you.
Nothing renews by itself.
An entry is current for 18 months, six months longer than the plans that bill every twelve, and the date it runs out is printed on the card rather than left for you to discover. Then it simply expires: no subscription, no card kept on file, no charge. A fresh entry is a decision you make, not one that is made for you.
A refund switches the record off.
We do not refund a change of mind once your documents are delivered, and we say so beside the price. But if a purchase is ever refunded, for any reason, the entry shows as inactive on the public page and the download stops working. A credential that outlived its refund would be lying.
We ask you nothing about your health.
No diagnosis, no condition, no letter from anyone. Not delicacy: holding that data would be a liability to you with no upside.
Who you are dealing with
Canada ESA Register is a privately run register. Orders are sold by our merchant of record, Armitage Labs OÜ, trading as Creem, Rotermanni 14, Tallinn, Estonia, which takes the payment; we prepare and deliver the documents.

Nothing in our terms takes away the rights you have under the consumer protection law of the province or territory where you live.
